Classic Rifle Adapter - Overview

The Classic Rifle Adapter has been designed as a semi-permanent fit to the stock of the rifle. It is designed to replace your existing sling swivel stud. Your sling can then be reattached to the mounting location behind the socket.

This adapter is the default adapter that we send out in the box with our bipods & tripods. 

The Classic Rifle Adapter is designed to be screwed onto the stock of the rifle with one of the supplied screws & profiled mounting plates, that are suitable for fitting to a variety of different materials.

The three synthetic mounting plates are produced with different profiles to match different rifle stocks (flat, curved, very curved). The top produced with a flat surface to neatly mate with the base of the adapter. 

The screw that secures the adapter to the existing female thread, within the stock of the rifle, fits through the centre of the socket in the adapter and holds the adapter in place.  

In terms of functionality, the Classic Rifle Adapter is capable of being used with the following Spartan products. 

• Javelin Bipod Series 
• Sentinel - rifle & optics support system
• Davros -Tripod Head
• Spartan Sucker Mount

 

The Classic Rifle Adapter shares the common 12mm socket fitting from the family of adapters, enabling instant attachment & detachment of the magnetic spigot fitting found in our bipods & tripods

 

 

When used with the Javelin Series of bipods the Classic Rifle Adapter permits the bipod to traverse left and right, for ease of movement and moving targets. We call this 'Hunt Mode'.

 

When the bipod is removed and re-fitted to the socket of the adapter 180 degrees in the reverse, the bipod can be effectively become fixed (no traverse). This adds to the stability of the system, which is beneficial for longer range shots & zeroing & range work, we call this 'Range Mode'.
